The average cost of car towing service in Canada?

car towing cost average in canada

Here we'll explain what the average cost of a single car towing service in Canada is. We've compared our prices with other companies across Canada and came to the average number, so you can know what you might expect to pay when getting a tow truck service anywhere in Canada. Keep in mind though that towing rates vary from company to company and province to province and city to city. If you're out in the middle of nowhere in Northern Ontario you can of course expect to pay a lot more than if you're in downtown Vancouver where a tow truck is likely always nearby, because there will be much more driving time.

After talking with a towing company in British Columbia, they said their average tow cost that they charge on a yearly basis is anywhere from $80 to $150. This is for a typical pick up and drop off car towing service. Another company in Nova Scotia said they would say the average cost of towing is $160, but they work in the boonies and do a lot of driving everyday from small town to small town. Here in Ontario, because we're lucky to work in denser populations and can get a towing job done in little or no time at all, working around Toronto and doing Pickering towing, we'd say our average cost for towing is $100.

So what's the verdict?

After doing the math and making other considerations, we feel safe saying that overall the average cost of car towing in Canada is $115.

We hope this info helps you and lets you know what you might expect for a typical tow cost. Thanks for reading!
